Advent calendar "Umgebindehäuser" in Lusatia
The "Umgebindehaus" is a special type of house that combines block construction, half-timbered construction and solid construction. Today's distribution area extends from Lower Silesia over Upper Lusatia and Northern Bohemia to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. According to estimates, there are still around 19,000 preserved houses in the surrounding countryside, of which more than 6,000 are in Upper Lusatia alone.
It was a great pleasure for us to paint an advent calendar with a charming winter landscape. Here, the half-timbered houses with their unique architectural style come into effect perfectly. What could be better than to open an advent calendar in the cozy advent season, which will delfe us in this beautiful winter wonderland with half-timbered houses.
