Flamingo
Another highlight of the bird series of the porcelain manufactory Wagner & Apel is this Flamingo. The feathers of a flamingo are coloured in different shades of pink - depending on what they eat. Some species only have pink feathers.
As with all bird reproductions, the colour is fixed to the fine porcelain with an airbrush pistol. No piece is the same as the other. The subsequent immersion in the glaze and the final firing at over 1300 degrees Celsius complete this small porcelain work of art.
