Nature is an excellent source of inspiration, because many of the abilities found in nature can be reproduced and transferred into a highly functional design. During a visit to the aquarium, designer Sung Wook Park noticed a starfish's ability to suck itself into the bottom of the aquarium with its suction cups.
This gave him the idea to design a drain strainer based on the model of a starfish. This playful yet functional design can be used in bathtubs, shower trays, washbasins and sinks. This drain strainer is equipped with 5x strong suction cups to hold the cover in place. In addition, it does not slip and thus reliably retains hair and other small parts - which means that clogged drain pipes will never again occur.
Made of soft, water-repellent silicone, the starfish is easy to clean and very simple to install. Simply place the drain strainer over the drain in the bathtub, shower, washbasin or sink and press down the 5 suction cups. The Starfish with its diameter of 16.5 cm and a height of 1.5 cm fits on all standard drains.
