The "Striezelmarkt" in Dresden is one of the oldest Christmas markets in Germany and maintains its centuries old tradition until today. The most famous Dresden specialties of the Christmas season are undisputed the Dresden "Stollen" and the Dresden "Pflaumentoffel". These are little manikin, pieced together of prunes and funny to look at when standing on the Christmas table. Of course you can also eat the prunes after Christmas and they are very healthy.
